BIOGRAPHY-PERSONAL/BUSINESS
Signwriting in the ’80s was a craft done freehand style. Before the advent of computers all lettering, designs, signs, and murals were sketched out, drawn and then hand painted using specialist brushes. Years later the industry’s shift to technology saw the fine art and craftsmanship of signwriting all but disappear.
Steven loved drawing from a noticeably early age and the practical aspect of the sign trade appealed to his creativity. To expand his artistic talent, he started watercolour painting. He has sold artworks but prefers to keep them hanging at home in his private collection.
Note: Below are photos of the actual paintings Steven has done.
